Long Term Contract For SDET – Software Development Engineer in Test at Rockville, MD

  • The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive suites of automation test plans and test cases, maintaining and adding to existing automation framework, continued evaluation of test cases for inclusion in regression, automation for newly integrated features, and development of toolsets to augment QA and Development testing.
  • The SDET will also work closely with Software Developers and other QA engineers in small scrum teams to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • The SDET Analyst will report to Transformation Managers set in each location Seattle / Atlanta. Each SDET Analyst will be assigned to a single/multiple streams comprising several applications and Functional testers to work with.
  • Experience • 5+ years of experience in software development/test
  • Comfortable with Java, Spring, Tomcat
  • Experience testing REST APIs for complex integrations spanning large ecosystems
  • Strong background in test automation utilizing tools such as Selenium/WebDriver, Sauce Labs, SoapUI as well as experience with jUnit, TestNG,
  • Experience with mocking and stubbing • Experience with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins
  • Familiar with Git, GitHub, Stash
  • 3+ years of UI test automation experience Primary Skills: Java, Selenium
  • Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in the US or equivalent experience
  • Work Environment This is a faced paced environment with business rolling products out to the market at rigorous pace. It requires that the candidate has already been part of AGILE environments in the past organizations/roles to be able to quickly adapt
